This guide will take you through the basic steps of installing W3 Total Cache.
W3 Total Cache Plugin
Login to WordPress admin at www.yoursite.com.au/wp-admin
You will want to toggle the following options to start with:
- Page cache: Enable
- Page cache method: Disk: Enhanced (Any Opcode setting if available)
Minify can sometimes be tricky, but a major bonus if it does work for you. If you have any display issues with your website after applying these changes then we recommend disabling Minify and consulting a Web Expert to configure Minify for your site
- Minify: Enable
- Minify mode: Auto
- Database Cache: Enable
We typically find that an Object Cache can have a negative impact on page load time on some servers so we recommend leaving this off unless you are more experienced.
- Browser Cache: Enable
Now press Save all settings to continue.
There you have it, you should notice an increase in your pages performance noting the first time accessing a page might be slower than normal but the second time should be much faster!
