The latest edition of our MediaCP is now available. This release features many new additions, changes and bug fixes.
MediaCP 2.1.6 Release
Our next major release is now officially available.
There is a huge amount of upgrades, additions and fixes since 2.1.5 and below is a brief explaination of the major features:
- Major GUI Upgrade
The first item you will notice when you finish upgrading is a cleaner and more user friendly interface.
As part of the interface upgrade, we are beginning to redesign certain aspects of the control panel. Firstly, we introduce the "Service Creation Wizard". A step-by-step wizard that is used for creating new services as an administrator or a reseller. You will notice this feature when creating a new service in the control panel.
We have also added some new "Quick Items" to the Administration Home Page.
- Wowza Improvements
It is no longer necessary to restart Wowza Media after making changes to a specific service. When restarting a Wowza Service from the control panel, the MediaCP will initiate a restart of the single application (not the entire Wowza service).
This release also introduces support for "Live Streaming Low Latency" service type and Official support for wowza media server v3.0.
- Official Shoutcast V2 Support
We are proud to support the latest STABLE release of Shoutcast V2 and SC Trans V2. An MP3 Name/Key can be configured in the Administration -> Configuration page that is by default assigned to all shoutcast 2services that are acreated. (This can be overwritten by the customer).
- AutoDJ Playlist Manager
A lot of you have been waiting for this feature, and now we officially support an "Add All Music" button which is used to add all music from the current directory into your playlist. You will also notice some interface enhancements.
- FTP Integration Upgrade
Previously, FTP Integration for Ondemand Wowza Media Server and Windows Media Services has been through the Plugin Configuration. With 2.1.6, the MediaCP FTP Integration will now be used instead.
FTP Integartion is now moved from the database.php file into System Configuration.
Documentation is now also linked.
- Important Cluster Information
It is important to note that each cluster is now required an independant license key.
